Costa Rica is a democratically elected republic. Elections are held every four years. Costa Rica has not army.

Costa Rica is the same as US central standard time, but does not observe daylight savings time.

We are a tropical country and experiences only two seasons: rain ( from middle of May to middle of November ) and summer ( from middel of November to middle of May ) The Caribbean Coast tends to be wet all year. The temperature varies from one season to another, from 18 to 30 degrees. At the coasts is a few degrees warmer.
